Moldovan tax body approves Strategic Development Program for 2021-2023

Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/- The State Tax Service / SFS / has approved the Strategic Development Program for 2021-2023.

It was worked out in accordance with several government decisions and consulted with external assistance experts from the US Treasury and the Swedish Tax Agency, the objections and comments made being taken into account in drafting the final draft.

SFS has identified and proposed four general development objectives for 2021 - 2023: institutional development; strengthening the service and record keeping of taxpayers; strengthening the management of voluntary and forced compliance; modernization of information technologies.

The measures included in the Program will have not only fiscal impact, but also administrative, economic, environmental, social, such as: increasing the degree of voluntary compliance of taxpayers; increasing the fiscal revenues administered by the SFS; high level of fiscal discipline among taxpayers; predictability in fiscal policy; high level of transparency in the activity; increased confidence of the business environment and citizens in the tax institution; high level of response to the needs of people with disabilities; effective institutional management; information capacities that meet taxpayers' requests etc.

Some of the most important measures concern the centralization and concentration of SFS subdivisions in a single location; development of the SFS website www.sfs.md by integrating all electronic services and stopping the website www.servicii.fisc.md; elaboration of the mechanism for managing, declaring, paying the fiscal obligations through a mobile application; streamlining and strengthening fiscal control of individuals through methods and indirect sources; carrying out tax compliance actions on the high risk segments: envelope salary, passenger car transport, online trade.
