Sheriff Tiraspol qualified for second round of Champions League

Chisinau, 14 July /MOLDPRES/- Sheriff Tiraspol team defeated Albanian champion score 1-0, and qualifies in the second preliminary round of the Champions League.

Last night, on the Sheriff Stadium in Tiraspol, the football champion of the Republic of Moldova played the second match with the team Teuta Durrës, the champion of Albania, which she overcame with the score of 1-0. After 4-0 with Teuta Durrës away and 1-0 in Tiraspol, Sheriff qualifies in the second round of the Champions League.

The only goal was scored in the 6th minute by Adama Traore.

According to the Moldovan Football Federation, in the second preliminary round of the Champions League, the Tiraspol team will play with winner of the Alashkert duel, Armenia - Connah’s Quay, Wales (in round 2-2). The first match will take place away, on July 20/21, and the return - to Tiraspol, on July 27/28.
