Universities of Moldova start admission campaign

Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - The universities of Moldova today started the campaign of admission for the 2021-2022 academic year. This year, the Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC) established the common terms of organization and holding the basic session of the admission contest and the contest files could be submitted online.
In the context of the sanitary measures undertaken by the authorities for preventing the spread of COVID-19, MECC approved new provisions in the framework Regulation on the organization of the admission to the cycle I – higher degree education for the 2021-2022 academic year. Under the Regulation, the contest on admission in the 2021 session at the higher degree and master education syllabi, provided by higher education institutions, will be held in mixed system, mostly online.
“At a request by the higher education institutions, common terms were established for the organization and carrying out of the basic session of the contest on admission to degree higher education, the 2021 session, for all universities, as follows: 19-30 July – submitting the contest file online; 3 August – announcing the intermediary results; 4-10 August – submitting the documents in original at the institution chosen by candidates, according to a schedule with gradual access, established by institutions at diverse education blocks, with the observance of the measures of protection against the spread of the COVIDE-19 virus, 12 August – announcing of the final results,’’ MECC said.
The file will be submitted to the admission commission by using diverse accessible instruments (Email, Viber, Skype, Messenger, WhatsApp, special software for admission, etc.). As for the candidates who cannot submit the contest files online, the higher education institutions will involve a small number of university staff , who will receive the documents.
The higher education institutions can organize the contest of admission to higher master education, for the 2021-2022 academic year, concomitantly with the admission to degree higher education. Candidates to degree higher education will be able to register at the admission contest at more specialties from various sectors, at one or more higher education institutions; yet, they could be matriculated only at one specialty at a single institution, where they will submit the acts in original.
If the places financed from the state budged are not covered, the higher education institutions will establish additional sessions on 13-26 August 2021.
