Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - Fifteen passengers of a route mini-bus, all citizens of Ukraine, have been placed in quarantine after they presented forged PCR tests for Covid-19 to Moldovan border policemen at the Criva-Mamaliga border crossing point.

According to data by the General Inspectorate of Border Police, the incident was recorded at the entrance into Moldova on 20 July. There were 15 Ukrainian in the mini-bus, besides the driver. After identifying the people, the border employee asked those who do not want to be placed in self-isolation to present a document exempting them from this.

Thus, each passenger presented a PCR test for Covid-19 with negative result. Following an examination with the specialized technology, all tests were identified with signs of forgery and namely: lack of paper protection elements, and after the QR code was scanned, the data of the medical laboratory which would have issued them was not appearing. Contacted, representatives of the medical centre from Ukraine said that they would have issued such tests. Moreover, they said the blank did not coincide with the original one.

The Ukrainian citizens were authorized the entrance into Moldova, not before filling in an epidemiological card and a declaration on one’s own responsibility on the observance of the self-isolation regime.
