As many as 97 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 24 July /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,202 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 97 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which five import ones. As many as 258,581 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), none out of all new cases registered today is among medical employees.

As many as 219 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 50 are in extremely serious condition (six patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 601 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 21,054 are under supervision at home.

Another 90 people have been treated. As many as 251,437 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another two deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,242 people have died of coronavirus in all.
