Marathon of teachers' vaccination takes place in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall wants immunization of all teachers who work at the municipal education institutions.  

The Moldovan capital’s city hall informed that a vaccination marathon for teachers titled, Let us go to school in safety, was held at the municipal vaccination centre on the Petru Rares Street 18 on 30 and 31 July.

All employees of the Chisinau education system – teachers and auxiliary staff – are expected to be immunized against Covid-19 at the event.

According to the information unveiled by the city hall, the municipal vaccination centre makes available to teachers vaccines from diverse producers, Pfizer,  Johnson&Johnson, AstraZeneca, Sinovac and Sputnik V (dose 2).

The capacity of the municipal vaccination centre is of 1,200 people per day.  

The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, has earlier said that the city hall starting from 1 September planned the carrying out of the education process in classrooms with the physical presence of teachers and pupils. To do this, more than 70 per cent of all teachers working in the municipal education system must be vaccinated.
