Yellow Code of hot weather extended in Moldova till 2 August

Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has extended the Yellow Code of hot weather till 2 August inclusively.

According to meteorologists, on this period, the air temperature will reach +35 Celsius degrees in most regions. At night, the air temperature will drop to +23 degrees.

Thunderstorm rains are also possible, preponderantly in the northern region.

Once the Yellow Code of hot weather issued, the authorities warned residents, especially elderly people, pregnant women, patients with cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, allergic people to prove prudence and avoid bathing in the sun.

In case of Yellow Code, the weather conditions are potentially dangerous, the forecast meteorological phenomena are usual for Moldova; yet, they may temporarily become dangerous for certain social and economic activities.
