Germany supports three development projects in central Moldova

Chisinau, 5 August /MOLDPRES/- The Regional Development Agency (ADR) Center convened a meeting of representatives of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and contractors carrying out construction work on three projects: two for the improvement and expansion of water supply and sewerage services in the cities of Ungheni and Călărași and one for energy efficiency of Ion Vatamanu Theoretical High School in Straseni.

Construction works on the project Improvement of water supply and sewerage services in Ungheni municipality were discussed at the meeting.

At the same time, the construction works on the project Improvement of water supply and sewerage services in Călărași were examined. The value of the enterprise contract is 33 million 675.1 thousand lei, the duration of the contracted works being 12 months.

Also, the participants in the meeting detailed the works carried out within the project Increasing the energy efficiency of the Theoretical High School Ion Vatamanu in Straseni, where electrical wiring works were carried out and holes are made for the new ventilation. Also here, the installation of the thermal insulation on the outside is completed and the roof has been changed. The value of the enterprise contract is 23 million 187.7 thousand lei, the execution duration of the contracted works being 12 months.

The three projects mentioned above are funded by the European Union in cooperation with the project Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova. It is implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ Moldova) in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment. and financially supported by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
