Straseni, Soldanesti, Calarasi, Ungheni districts to cooperate with Technical University

Chisinau, 5 August /MOLDPRES/- The Regional Development Agency (ADR) Center participated in establishing sustainable partnerships in regional projects for energy efficiency of public buildings. Thus, within the institution, Cooperation Memorandum-Agreements were signed between the Straseni, Soldanesti, Calarasi, Ungheni District Councils and the Continuing Education Center of the Technical University of Moldova (CFC-UTM).
The main purpose of the signed Memorandum of Understanding is to establish a lasting partnership between the signatory parties for cooperation and exchange of information for the professional development of specialists from the four District Councils, their subordinate divisions responsible for managing public buildings - energy managers of levels I and II.
Also, this collaboration involves conducting a series of trainings in order to plan and ensure a sustainable process of maintaining the built / renovated fund with the financial support of development partners and local contributions. At the same time, following the signing of the nominated document, joint activities will be carried out to write and develop projects relevant to energy efficiency, efficient management of public buildings, including events to promote renewable energy sources and prevent and mitigate climate change.
Significant support in order to ensure the sustainability of projects in the field of energy efficiency will be both the training of qualified staff in this field and consultation in the development of sustainability plans of projects relevant to energy efficiency, efficient management of public buildings, including events to promote sources of renewable energy and the prevention and mitigation of adverse climate change.
The four energy efficiency projects of public buildings in the Central Region take place with the financial support of the European Union in cooperation with the project Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova. It is implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in partnership with Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment and financially supported by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
