Gavriliţă cabinet proposes several regional development projects

Chisinau, 6 August /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister-designate Natalia Gavriliță made public government's program, according to which the future Executive aims to ensure the implementation of infrastructure and regional development projects in the next four years.

The future government team promises to build or rehabilitate three thousand kilometers of centralized water and sewerage networks; three thousand kilometers of roads and rural streets, 2,800 km of national roads that are in bad and very bad condition. Gavriliță government is committed to building modern waste storage facilities in all regions of the country and will implement waste sorting and recycling technologies.

Another major objective announced by the future Government is the construction or rehabilitation of nine treatment plants in the cities of Edineț, Soroca, Orhei, Ungheni, Hâncești, Comrat, Straseni, Ceadâr-Lunga and Cahul. "We will renovate at least 500 kindergartens and we will expand the nursery-kindergarten services. All schools and kindergartens will have modern toilets and sanitary systems ", said Gavriliţă.

Other announced projects refer to the construction of two modern regional hospitals - in Cahul and Balti; installation or rehabilitation of modern lighting system on ten thousand km of communal streets and roads; construction of the European railway to Chisinau; construction of two bridges over the Prut (Ungheni and Leova) and a bridge over the Dniester (Iampol-Cosăuți); rehabilitation of the Giurgiulești-Galați bridge; completion of the construction of the back-to-back power station in Vulcănești and of the transmission line between Vulcănești and Chisinau; ensuring the functionality of the Iași-Ungheni gas pipeline; thermal rehabilitation and repair of facades in 20% of blocks in the country; development of modern transport in the main cities in the country - Chisinau, Balti, Cahul, Soroca, Orhei, Edinet; examining the feasibility of rehabilitating the Balti-Leadoveni and Marculesti regional airports; capital repair of the Costești-Stânca hydrotechnical node.

Gavriliță's cabinet and governing program are to get the vote of confidence of the Parliament today.
