Moldovan deputy premier meets Ukrainian envoy

Chisinau, 9 August /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration met today with Marko Shevchenko, Ukraine's Ambassador to Moldova, the MAEIE press service has reported.

Nicu Popescu reiterated Moldova's interest in achieving the goals set in previous meetings of heads of state, as well as coordinating positions in the format - Republic of Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine.

The Deputy Prime Minister also mentioned the need for close Moldovan-Ukrainian cooperation in order to advance the implementation of joint projects for the interconnection of energy, infrastructure and transport networks as well as the development of cross-border cooperation.
