As many as 177 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 9 August /MOLDPRES/- A number of 4,400 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 177 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 18 import ones. As many as 260,807 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), one case is among medical employees.

As many as 258 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 20 are in extremely serious condition (12 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 692 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 21,002 are under supervision at home.

Another 97 people have been treated. As many as 253,005 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of four other deaths caused by the new coronavirus, the death toll reached 6,286.
