About 14,000 people called ambulance last week

Chisinau, 10 August /MOLDPRES/- On 2-8 August, the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Service was requested by 13,942 people. After providing first aid, AMU teams transported 5,610 patients, including 1,406 children, to the emergency departments of hospitals in the country.

Out of the total number of cases, the most common were patients with respiratory illnesses - 2,433, followed by 2,214 people with heart problems, including 55 patients with acute coronary syndrome and 1,769 citizens with neurological emergencies, including 204 strokes cerebral.

During the period, 1,474 citizens with various traumas received first aid at the pre-hospital stage. The ambulance was called in case of 62 road accidents, as a result of which 84 people suffered.

Subsequently, 72 patients, including 18 children, with various traumas were transported to the hospital to continue treatment in inpatient conditions.
