Moldovan tax body registered 9,869 leases in early 2021

Chisinau, 10 August /MOLDPRES/- In January - July 2021, 9,869 leasing and rent contracts were registered with the State Tax Service (SFS). As a result of the actions taken, 3,491 private people have been identified who lease or rent real estate.

"At the same time, for 490 private people who lease real estate and did not comply with legal provisions were additionally calculated for payment to the budget: basic payments - 588.9 thousand lei, penalties - 44 thousand lei and fines - 89.2 thousand lei ", SFS said.

The SFS notes that according to the Fiscal Code, the subjects of taxation of private people who do not carry out entrepreneurial activity and transfer in possession and / or use real estate property, pay income tax 7% of the monthly value of the contract.

The mentioned persons are obliged, within three days from the date of concluding the contract, to register the contract concluded with SFS. This tax is paid monthly, at the latest on the 25th of the current month, in the manner established by the SFS.
