Moldovan speaker opts for closer interparliamentary connection between Moldova, Ukraine

Chisinau, 10 August /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu had a meeting today with Ukrainian Ambassador to Moldova Marko Shevchenko, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

The sides approahed important topics on the agenda of Moldovan-Ukrainian relations, including those related to the economic, cultural and humanitarian sectors, the environment and the territorial integrity of the states.

Igor Grosu said that as speaker he will show maximum openness for the Moldovan-Ukrainian relations to advance, especially on the interparliamentary dimension, through friendship groups, the standing committees of the Parliament of Moldova and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The officials agreed to exchange visits at the level of speakers.
