Moldovan speaker meets Russian envoy

Chisinau, 10 August /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu met today with Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Vasnețov.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the Russian official sent to the speaker the congratulatory letter on his election addressed by President of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS, Head of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko.

The Ambassador voiced confidence that the collaboration between the legislative institutions of the two states, as well as on the international interparliamentary platform will continue in building constructive and pragmatic relations.

Igor Grosu thanked for the congratulations and assured the ambassador that he will encourage the Moldovan-Russian interparliamentary dialogue.

"I will be open to communication on all topics of mutual interest, especially those concerning the citizens of the Republic of Moldova in the Russian Federation," the speaker said.
