Moldovan authorities check sustainability of some projects carried out in Ştefan Vodă district

Chisinau, 11 August /MOLDPRES/- The specialists in monitoring, evaluation, planning and regional cooperation of the South Regional Development Agency (ADR) recently carried out a post-implementation monitoring visit in Ștefan Vodă district, where the institution carried out the project "Promoting the socio-economic development of lower localities of the Dniester River, as well as those in the steppe area and encouraging tourism in the border area by renovating the Ștefan Vodă-Talmaza road.

The project was implemented from the sources of the National Regional Development Fund (FNDR), in the period 2013-2016. The program was meant to improve the access roads between several localities of Ștefan Vodă district. "Rehabilitation works were carried out on the 16,025 km road segment, on the Ștefan Vodă-Talmaza sector and 2.65 km of road, access to Cioburciu village", indicates ADR Sud.

The purpose of the visit was to inform from the first source on the status of the project at the current stage and the actions taken to implement the Plan to ensure the sustainability of the project.

During the working visit, ADR Sud specialists discussed with the local authorities from Ștefan Vodă, Talmaza and Cioburciu districts. In order to assess the impact of the implemented project on the final beneficiaries, evaluation reports will be prepared following this working visit. "The reports will contain conclusions and some recommendations. However, until then, according to the specialists, the works show to be thorough and performed at a high level of quality ", according to the quoted source.

Monitoring and evaluation visits were carried out in accordance with the South RDA action plan for the current year.
