Gagauz governor thanked Poland for support

Chisinau, 11 August /MOLDPRES/- Gagauz Governor Irina Vlah met today with Polish Ambassador to Moldova Bartłomiej Zdaniuk. The parties discussed the results of several joint projects, the possibility of carrying out other development programs and initiatives, aimed at increasing the living standards of the inhabitants of the autonomy.
In 2020, with the support of the Government of Poland, the festivities hall of the “Mihail Ceakir” College was rehabilitated, the works being estimated at 20 thousand US dollars. Similar projects were implemented in Bugeac, Cismichio and Besalma.
The governor thanked the Warsaw authorities for their help and support of local initiatives.
"We are interested in further collaboration. We have something to learn from Poland in several fields, especially in the sectors of environmental protection, waste management, etc. We have drawn up ambitious plans and without the support of our partners we will not succeed. Poland's practice is to be appreciated and we are ready to develop, using the experience of Polish partners, "said Irina Vlah.
