Moldovan foreign minister had phone conversation with Turkish counterpart

Chisinau, 11 August /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, held a telephone conversation today with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who congratulated him on the inauguration of the new government.

The MAEIE press service has reported that during the discussion, Popescu expressed Moldova's willingness to deepen and expand sectoral cooperation in accordance with the strategic nature of bilateral relations.

At the same time, the deputy premier confirmed his interest in boosting political dialogue, mutual invitations being issued for visits to Chisinau and Ankara.

The Moldovan official also stressed the importance of completing internal procedures for the entry into force as soon as possible of the Agreement on the conversion and mutual recognition of driving licenses.
