As many as 256 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 August /MOLDPRES/- A number of 7,703 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 256 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 13 import ones. As many as 261,256 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), two cases are among medical employees.

As many as 450 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 66 are in extremely serious condition (12 patient are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 802 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 23,817 are under supervision at home.

Another 167 people have been treated. As many as 253,310 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of four other deaths caused by the new coronavirus, the death toll reached 6,295.
