Moldovan government to fund youth programs

Chisinau, 12 August /MOLDPRES/- Ministry of Finance will earmark 960 thousand lei provided in the state budget to the local public administration authorities in order to support the district / municipal grant programs for youth organizations and youth initiative groups. The cabinet took a decision on the matter today.

According to the decision, the use of the funds distributed to the local public administration authorities will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the partnership agreements on the development of youth centers, signed between the Ministry of Education and Research and district / municipal councils.

“The Ministry of Finance will finance the expenditures based on the requests submitted by the Ministry of Education and Research, which will examine the set of mandatory documents received from local public administration authorities and will take a decision to co-finance, based on the principle of parity, district programs / municipal grants for youth organizations and youth initiative groups ”, the document reads.

The local public administration authorities will present to the Ministry of Education and Research the reports on the results, according to the destination, of the financial resources distributed under the partnership agreements on the development of youth centers, signed between the ministry and district / municipal councils.

The Ministry of Education and Research is responsible for control over the execution of the decision. The decision shall enter into force upon publication in the Official Journal of the Republic of Moldova.
