Chisinau, 12 August /MOLDPRES/- Today we started reorganization of the ministries to ensure the separation of the ministries of Social Protection, Culture, Environment and Infrastructure and Regional Development. This separation will allow us to streamline work on these areas essential for the development of our country. The statement was made by Prime Minister Natalia Gavriliţa at the beginning of the cabinet meeting.

"We have too many blocked projects and construction sites that are very difficult to move - on roads, gas pipelines, bridges, high voltage lines, I will ask Minister Andrei Spinu to review each case and speed up their implementation. If the stop is caused by the economic agent, it is necessary to go until the termination of the contract and the organization of a new competition. If the impediments come from civil servants, we need to know their names and we will make decisions on each case. I am sure that the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development will be tailored as an efficient structure, which will constantly deliver quality infrastructure projects for the benefit of the citizens ", said the Prime Minister.

The official said that she also has high expectations from the Ministry of Culture. "We need to expand the area of state support for this field, we need courage and boldness in this ministry, do not be shy to consider the opportunity to launch innovative projects, such as, for example, the opening of museums of technology, industry and robotics , Mr. Prodan. Please ensure that money for culture is allocated in a transparent and democratic way, including for informal groups, young directors, artists and writers. And don't forget the Moldovans from the rural areas, they are not caressed with cultural products at all and we have work to do in this regard ", said Gavriliţa.

"I also have high expectations from the Ministry of Environment. Environmental protection is a priority of this government, but the ministry's activity cannot be union or protest. We need solutions, we need programs that would promote the green economy, the circular economy, the state must help businesses comply with European environmental protection rules. And not only through fines, but also through solutions, grants, support, explanations. Likewise, there is a need for an analysis and a forecast on scenarios with different gravity regarding climate change ", she said.

According to Natalia Gavriliţa, the Ministry of Social Protection needs a reinvention. "Pensions, social payments are extremely important, but this is by no means all that this ministry has to deliver. Labor market management suffers from low government efficiency. It is our duty to be active in this field, to make sure that local talents and craftsmen find the right job and that benefits businesses and employees and the state. I don't like to see people on the construction sites wearing slippers instead of special shoes, they are without a helmet, without basic protection. It is not so difficult to take this step towards civilized countries, which protect their workers. It is our duty to protect these people. I am sure that Marcel Spatari is the right man to lead this necessary transformation and you will have my full support in this regard ", the official said.

At the end of the speech, the Prime Minister congratulated the young people on Youth Day, which is marked today. "Today we will allocate one million lei for grant programs for young people launched by the district councils. Not all district councils will receive this money, but only those that funded youth programs in 2021. I know that many of these programs have funding stopped or delayed locally. The amount we allocate today will go to unlock these funds and the young people who won the grant competitions to receive the funding they are waiting for. I hope that it will be a message that will encourage the local public authorities to be more active in financing the programs targeted at activities with the involvement of young people ", she said.
