General Prosecutor's Office terminated service relations with former head of Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office

Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/- By an order of the General Prosecutor of 12 August the suspension from office was terminated and, respectively, the service relations with the former Chief Prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, Viorel Morari, were terminated.

According to a press release issued by the General Prosecutor's Office, the decision comes as a result of his failure to express an option for another position of prosecutor to hold after the expiration, on April 26, of the term of office of the Chief Prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office.

According to the legislation, Viorel Morari is to go through all procedures inherent to the stage and to collect financial compensations for unused annual leave. In case of disagreement with the provisions of the order, Morari can challenge him in accordance with the law, the communiqué reads.
