Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/- The Defense Ministry came with an appeal to the parents and relatives of the young people recently incorporated into military service in the National Army.

"Military oath ceremony will be held on 13 August in several units of the National Army. Unfortunately, due to the recent increase in the number of COVID-19 infections in the country and the spread of the Delta variant of the virus, which is much more aggressive, restrictions have been imposed on mass activities. Therefore, access to the event is not allowed for visitors, the Ministry of Defense announces.

At the same time, the ministry informs that the soldiers will not have the four-day leave, which their comrades previously benefited from.

"We know you want to attend the military swearing-in ceremony, but the health and safety of your sons is above all else," the defense ministry said.
