Chisinau, 16 August /MOLDPRES/- Anti-heat tents will be set up in Chisinau and drinking water will be distributed.

Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban requested at today's online meeting of the municipality's services the installation of anti-heat tents and distribution of water to citizens. "Meteorologists announce that in the next three days it will be extremely hot. I ask the municipal services to install the anti-heat tents. In the public transport, water should be distributed and streets should be washed ", he said.

At the same time, he encouraged businesses in the capital to distribute drinking water to the city's residents. "I welcome the initiative of some economic agents that distributed, in the previous heat wave, water to the inhabitants of the city. I encourage this example to be taken over by other economic agents, so that we can cope with the heat wave that is announced. We are with all the inhabitants of this city and we must show solidarity ", said the official.

The State Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Moldova announced hot weather for the next few days. Thus, on 16-19  August the air temperature of over 33 degrees Celsius will be registered in the country.
