Latvian foreign ministrer pays working visit to Moldova

Chisinau, 16 August /MOLDPRES/- Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs pays a working visit to Chisinau on 16-18 August following an invitation of Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popoescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the MAEIE press service has reported.

The visit's agenda of the Latvian officia includes meetings with his Moldovan counterpart, Nicu Popescu, Speaker Igor Grosu, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița, head of the parliamentary committee on foreign policy and European integration Doina Gherman and representatives of the parliamentary opposition.

The discussions will focus on main issues on the bilateral agenda, the relations between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, including the support from Latvia of the European integration of the country.
