As many as 485 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 August /MOLDPRES/- A number of 6,385 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 485 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, including 414 unvaccinated. As many as 263,074 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), ten cases are among medical employees.

As many as 512 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 47 are in extremely serious condition (4 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,329 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 24,361 are under supervision at home.

Another 162 people have been treated. As many as 254,452 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of 8 other deaths caused by the new coronavirus, the death toll reached 6,328.
