Governor of Gagauz autonomy pays working visit to Bucharest

Chisinau, 20 August /MOLDPRES/ - Governor of the Autonomous Territorial Unit Gagauz-Yeri Irina Vlah paid a working visit to Romania’s capital on 19-20 August. The bashkan (governor) had more meetings with the municipal authorities from Bucharest.

Irina Vlah had a meeting with the mayor of the District 6 of the Bucharest municipality, Ciprian Ciucu. The sides confirmed mutual interest in establishing bilateral social and economic relations.

"We have come to learn and make exchange of experience. We will learn from you to develop the industry and IT sector. We should create opportunities for young people and thus persuade them to connect their future to UTA Gagauzia. We thank you for willingness to help us,’’ Irina Vlah said.

The sides agreed on working out and signing an agreement on cooperation between the Comrat city hall and the mayoralty of the District 6 from Chisinau. At the same time, with Bucharest’s support, the Mihai Eminescu lyceum from Comrat might be endowed with furniture and equipment.
