As many as 407 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 20 August /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 7,340 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 407 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 337 among non-vaccinated people and 20 of which are import ones. As many as 263,907 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far. 

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), four out of the new cases are among medical employees (one physician, two medical assistants and one representative of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 465 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 44 are in extremely serious condition (seven patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 1,560 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 24,213 are under supervision at home.

Another 212 people have been treated. As many as 254,861 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another eight deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,346 people have died of coronavirus in all.
