As many as 376 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,560 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 376 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 324 among non-vaccinated people. Eight of these cases which are import ones. As many as 264,283 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), seven out of the new cases are among medical employees (one physician, three medical assistants and three representatives of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 509 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 31 are in extremely serious condition.

In the context, 1,694 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 23,279 are under supervision at home.

Another 227 people have been treated. As many as 255,088 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another ten deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,356 people have died of coronavirus in all.
