Dual education efficient alternative for training qualified staff in Moldova - study

Chisinau, 23 August /MOLDPRES/ - A comprehensive study on the perception of graduates and economic operators, partners in the dual VET system, as to the training of qualified staff in the dual education, has been carried out with the support of the project, Promotion of the vocational education for a green economy, during 2020-2021, the German Agency for International Cooperation Moldova (GIZ Moldova) has reported.

Graduates of dual syllabi from three series of graduates (2018, 2019, 2020) and economic operators involved in dual syllabi participated in the study. As many 662 graduates and 77 economic operators were interviewed.    

“The study’s conclusion highlighted the fact that, for the dual education, as alternative form, as alternative form of training the qualified staff, being relatively new for Moldova, the graduates and economic operators gave a positive appreciation of the first results,’’ GIZ Moldova said.    

The opportunities provided by the dual education are welcome and used motivational factors by young people and economic operators enhanced their role and contribution in the process of training of specialists depending on their own needs, according to the quoted source.

The project, Promotion of the vocational education for a green economy, is implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation and is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The project’s goal is to strengthen the system of dual vocational education, oriented to demand, in order to promote the ecologic, economic and social development in Moldova.
