National Extraordinary Public Health Commission of Moldova says school year starts with physical presence, observance of instruction

Chisinau, 23 August /MOLDPRES/ - The pupils will start the 2021-2022 school year with the physical presence as of 1 September, yet, with the observance of an instruction by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP). The instruction was approved at a today’s meeting, in the context of the increase in the number of infected people, rate of infectiousness and fatality. Health Minister Ala Nemerenco presented the CNESP decision at a news briefing.
According to the minister, the instruction also sees more measures and sanitary and epidemiological norms, which will be compulsory for all education institutions of various levels and form of organization, public and private.
’’We also agreed on reaching, till 1 October, of a vaccination rate of 95 per cent in the education system (adult representatives). Or, once in 14 days, the education employees, if they are not able to present vaccination certificates, will be obliged to make, at their own expense, tests, including urgent ones, for identifying SarsCov-2, certificates on the presence of antibodies, proof from physician that they had COVID-19 in certain periods,’’ Ala Nemerenco said.
Referring to the festive programme on the occasion of the national holidays due in late August, the health minister said that only people 100 per cent immunized would be involved for the carrying out of the military parade.
“At the same time, we will maximally limit the number of participants and those present will have to observe all protection rules – wearing masks, social distance, etc. Respectively, all cultural and artistic activities will have short schedule and will end lot later than 17:00,’’ Health Minister Ala Nemerenco said following the today’s meeting of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission.
The CNESP decisions are executory for the central and local public administration authorities, private people and legal entities, no matter the activity field and the legal form of organization.
