As many as 314 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 23 August /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,979 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 314 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 265 among non-vaccinated people. Eight of these cases are import ones. As many as 264,746 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), ten out of the new cases are among medical employees (two physicians, three medical assistants and five representatives of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 533 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 26 are in extremely serious condition.

In the context, 1,814 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 22,534 are under supervision at home.

Another 206 people have been treated. As many as 255,485 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another six deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,369 people have died of coronavirus in all.
