Moldovan cabinet approves concept of governmental delivery service

Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet members today endorsed a decision on the approval of the concept of the delivery governmental service (MDelivery).  

“The government is determined to fundamentally change the way the public services are delivered in Moldova, through a variety of interventions to combat corruption, promote a culture of providing public services focused on clients’ needs, improving the access to public services, as well as enhancing the efficiency of the public authorities,’’ reads an informative note to the draft.  

Under the government decision, the Public Institution Electronic Governance Agency is nominated as possessor and owner of the delivery governmental service (MDelivery). ‘’The Public Institution Electronic Governance Agency: will ensure the creation of the delivery governmental service (MDelivery) in a six-month term; will elaborate and submit, in a six-month period, to the cabinet for approval the regulation on the way of work and use of the delivery governmental service (MDelivery); will ensure the continuous work and development of the delivery governmental service (MDelivery),’’ the document reads.    

To enforce this decision, the State Chancellery, jointly with the Public Institution Electronic Governance Agency, will annually assess the costs needed for the continuous management and development of the  delivery governmental service (MDelivery) and will make proposals on demanding financial means from the Finance Ministry, in line with the provisions of the law on public money and budgetary and fiscal responsibility, in order to be included in the state budget law for the concerned year.
