Ambassador of Sweden ends diplomatic mission in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 August /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu today received Ambassador of Sweden to Moldova Anna Lyberg on a farewell visit, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.

The Moldovan official thanked the Swedish ambassador for the sustained work of promoting the development and consolidation of the bilateral relations. During her mandate, Sweden was an active partner for Moldova, as projects were backed for consolidating the economic integration with the European Union, development of the market economy, promoting democracy, quality of chances, human rights and development of the rule of law state, environment and attenuating the climate changes.

Deputy PM Nicu Popescu appreciated the intense and dynamic development of the relations between the two states and expressed wish to continue their diversification, including in the context that Sweden holds the OSCE Chairmanship in 2021.
