As many as 193 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 August /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,732 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 193 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 159 among non-vaccinated people. Nine out of these cases are import ones. As many as 266,784 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 2 out of the new cases are among medical employees (2 medical assistants).

As many as 841 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 58 are in extremely serious condition and 3 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 2,385 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 19,061 are under supervision at home.

Another 274 people have been treated. As many as 256,882 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 3 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,390 people have died of coronavirus in all.
