Moldova's football team to play against Austrian national team today

Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/- National football team of the Republic of Moldova will play today the fourth match from the preliminaries of the 2022 World Football Championship. The Moldovan players will play against the Austrian national team.

The football match will take place at the Zimbru stadium in Chisinau, at 21:45, and will be refereed by the Englishman Paul Tierney (41 years old), FIFA referee from 2018. The video refereeing will work today for the first time on the Zimbru stadium, at the request of UEFA.

The match with Austria will be number 253 for the National Team of Moldova. Our team recorded 47 wins, 60 draws and 145 defeats. Goals: 195-420. The national team of the Republic of Moldova has played six matches with the Austrian national team so far, managing a victory. In five other matches, the tricolors were defeated. Goals: 2-8

The Moldova - Austria match will be broadcast live on two television stations.
