Prosecutor's office proposes new mechanism for working with central authorities

Chisinau, 2 September /MOLDPRES/- The Prosecutor General's Office announced today it supports the current government's goal of exposing and annihilating high-level corruption schemes and proposes to government, parliament and presidency to start internal audit of all public institutions to confirm or deny the existence of such schemes.

According to the PG press service, a letter in this regard was sent by the Prosecutor General to the head of state, the President of the Parliament and the Prime Minister.

"The initiative of the Prosecutor's Office also provides for the involvement in this process of the financial control and audit institutions, of the finding bodies", it is said in the communiqué of the institution.

So far, the Prosecutor's Office has not been notified and has not registered relevant materials from the control, finding or investigating bodies.
