Chisinau, 2 September /MOLDPRES/- Justice Minister Sergiu Litvinenco announced today he has registered as a deputy three initiatives aimed at cleaning up several state institutions.

First project concerns the accountability of several authorities under parliamentary control. These are the Competition Council, ANRE, the Audiovisual Council, the National Agency for Solving Complaints and the National Commission of the Financial Market.

“The existence of a functional autonomy does not mean that the heads of state institutions cannot be held accountable for inefficiency or incompetence. The draft law proposes that the Parliament, through its working bodies, be able to analyze the activity of these institutions and, depending on the conclusions it reaches, be able to adopt the necessary acts, including the dismissal of inefficient and incompetent leaders. spun Litvinenco.

The second project refers to the transformation of the position of head of the State Fiscal Service and head of the Customs Service from a civil servant to a person with public dignity, respectively, the competence to appoint these persons is to pass from the Minister of Finance to the Government.

The third draft law aims to strengthen the role of the Superior Council of Magistracy in appointing the interim president of the Supreme Court of Justice. "According to the law in force, the interim position of president of the SCJ is ensured, by virtue of certain circumstances, outside any decision of the SCM. Through the respective project, it is proposed that the decision regarding the interim president of the SCJ be taken by the institution which, in accordance with the constitutional standards, ensures the administration of justice - by the CSM ”, concluded Litvinenco.
