Customs Service collected over 17.4 billion lei since beginning of 2021

Chisinau, 2 September /MOLDPRES/- Customs Service revenues to state budget in the first 8 months of 2021 amount to over 17.4 billion lei, up by about 26% compared to last year.

In August, the institution collected over 2.5 billion lei in the budget, the amount being 27.3% higher than the same month of 2020 and 26.8% compared to August 2019.

During the last month, the flow of means of transport constituted 354 591 crossings, more by about 20% compared to July 2021. The busiest customs posts remain to be Leuseni and Sculeni, with 96,853 and 58,066 crossings, respectively.

Also, in August, 51,302 customs declarations were made and 978 violations of customs legislation were found. The most frequent violations registered refer to the exceeding of the term on the territory of the Republic of Moldova of the means of transport with foreign numbers, declared by action.
