More than half of Border Police vaccinated against COVID

Chisinau, 2 September /MOLDPRES/- A number of 1,634 Border Police employees also received their second dose of COVID vaccine, which represents 53.7 percent of the total staff.

A statement from the institution announces that the most exemplary in terms of anti-Covid-19 vaccination among border guards are medical workers, 100% immunized, followed by students and faculty of the Center of Excellence in Border Security with an immunization rate of 90 %, but also the staff of several Sectors of the Border Police, such as Cosăuți, Costești, Stoianovca, Olănești, with over 80%.

According to the information presented, during the mini-holiday at the end of August, mobile vaccination crews were activated, where the border police had the possibility of immunization right at work. In this regard, 150 employees agreed to be vaccinated, aware of the health danger posed by Covid-19. It should be mentioned that the mobile crews will reactivate their missions and will go repeatedly through the Border Police Sectors.

According to the Border Police communiqué, there are currently seven cases in which the employees of the institution were tested positive at Covid-19. All have a mild form of the virus and are receiving treatment at home.
