"We have a very large volume of work to achieve clear and firm objectives, starting from the real situation of citizens and business, in the national interest of the Republic of Moldova," said Igor Grosu.

At the meeting, a number of difficulties currently faced by business people were identified. According to them, the biggest problem is justice, which is selective and politicized. "We want a fair, simple and attractive business environment at the regional level in order to accelerate both local and foreign investments, so that we can create well-paid jobs at home", he said.

Also, a series of proposals were identified that would develop this sector, such as: reducing the “presence” of the state in the economic field; improving the quality of public service; facilitating external and internal trade; harmonization of the fiscal and customs framework; digitization of the economy; protection of personal data; human resources development and labor relations, financial sector stability, energy security and others.

The member companies of the association have been available to provide the parliamentary committees with the necessary expertise in each business segment, in order to jointly identify solutions for modernizing the legislation and the framework conditions of activity.

Following the discussions, it was agreed to hold several meetings, on the platform of parliamentary committees, in order to identify practical solutions for each issue addressed.

EBA Moldova was established in 2011 and operates under the auspices of the European Union Delegation in Chisinau, currently representing the interests of over 90 companies and has created over 23 thousand jobs.
