Chisinau, 9 September /MOLDPRES/- MPs today voted on a draft law establishing new mechanisms for controlling and sanctioning heads of public authorities under parliamentary control.
The draft aims at the National Financial Market Commission, the Competition Council, the National Agency for Solving Complaints, the Audiovisual Council, the National Agency for Energy Regulation.
The main provisions concern the establishment of the control and sanction mechanism for their managers in case of improper execution of the delegated tasks according to the legislation or the exercise of the defective activity, including by dismissal from office.
The authors of the initiative claim that granting the right of the Parliament to dismiss the members of the autonomous public authorities following the hearing of the annual activity reports comes to hold the governing bodies of these authorities accountable to the Legislature.
