Number of COVID-19 cases increased by 40 percent last week

Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/- On September 6-12, 4,593 cases of COVID-19 were registered, up by 42.0% than the previous week. The Ministry of Health presented data today.

Most patients had mild and asymptomatic forms (89.0%), being followed by patients with moderate forms (6.9%) and severe forms (4.1%). There are currently 54 patients hospitalized in an extremely serious condition.

The number of people treated last week was 3,598, down by 43.15%, with a total of 262,759 people.

The Ministry announces that following the analysis of the respective epidemiological indicators, the red code alert was established for all administrative territories, except for the Dubasari and Rascani districts, where the orange code alert was established.

Statistics show that since the launch of the COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign (March 2), 1,336,608 doses of vaccine have been administered. The national coverage with a dose is 22.51%, with a full scheme - 21.34%.
