Moldovan PM meets Hungarian envoy

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița had a meeting yesterday with Sandor Szabo, Ambassador of Hungary to Moldova, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The premier praised the assistance provided by Hungary in 2020-2021, especially the donation of medical equipment for the treatment of COVID-19. At the same time, it was noted that Hungary and Moldova mutually recognize COVID-19 vaccination certificates.
The two officials also discussed an action plan for implementing the provisions of the Joint Declaration on the Strategic Partnership concluded in 2020 between the two countries. The declaration highlights the quality of Hungary as a member of the European Union and the objective of the Republic of Moldova for European integration, and importance of boosting political and multidimensional dialogue between states.
Natalia Gavrilița also said that the country is interested in strengthening cooperation with the Visegrad Group, a structure that includes the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, in the context of European integration, as well as implementation of cross-border projects in energy, transport, digitization.
