About 6,800 homes purchased through First Home program

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/- Through the government program First Home, 6,781 homes have been purchased so far. The total amount of loans granted by banks is 3.61 billion lei, and the total value of active guarantees is 1.77 billion lei.

According to the data of the Finance Ministry, out of the total number of beneficiaries, 5,045 persons benefit from compensations from the state budget, of which 1,192 persons within the First Home Program 2, 2,847 - First Home 3, 994 - First Home 4 and 12 - First Home 5.

Out of the 6,781 beneficiaries, 4,651 are families and 2,130 are unmarried young people. The average age of the applicants is 31 years. The average value of purchased homes is 625,567 thousand lei.

Out of the total number of purchased homes, 6,163 are apartments, and 618 - individual houses.

The beneficiary of the governmental program First Home may be a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, aged between 18 -50, who is officially employed at a state institution or private company in the country and has income from official sources. The share of the initial own participation is 5% of purchase price of the house.
