Reunion of Romanian National Theaters inaugurated in Chisinau

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/- The sixth edition of the Reunion of Romanian National Theaters, due in Chisinau on September 15-26, during the 100th season of the National Theater Mihai Eminescu was inaugurated last night with the premiere of the show -History of Communism told for mentally ill by Matei Vişniec, directed by Cristian Hadji-Culea.

Institution's director Petru Hadârcă said that this year's edition is under the spiritual aura of Ion Caramitru, former Minister of Culture in Romania, general director of the National Theater I. L. Caragiale from Bucharest, recently deceased.


Attending the event, Minister of Culture Sergiu Prodan said that the institution wiill support all important and valuable projects previously initiated, including the Reunion of Romanian National Theaters.


Governor of the National Bank Octavian Armașu gave Petru Hadârcă a commemorative coin, recently issued on the occasion of the Centenary of the Mihai Eminescu National Theater.

Sergiu Prodan and president of the Romanian Cultural Institute Mirel Taloș also took possession of the commemorative coin.

The first edition of the Reunion of Romanian National Theaters took place in 2014, and the initiator of the project is Petru Hadârcă.
