Compensation mechanism of medical devices amended

Chisinau, 17 September /MOLDPRES/- Parliament adopted a draft amendment to the mechanism for clearing medical devices yesterday.

The amendment provides for the establishment of the legal basis for regulating the compensation of medicines and medical devices under the conditions of compulsory health insurance.

Another provision refers to the commercial surcharge applied by the distributor and providers of pharmaceutical services for the compensated medical devices from the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund.

Thus, when selling compensated medical devices, intended for outpatient use, an addition of up to 20% of the purchase price declared by the supplier will be applied. Of which up to 5% for economic operators producing, importing and / or distributing compensated medical devices and up to 15% for pharmacies.
