Prosecutor's office dropped accusation in Petrenco Group case

Chisinau, 17 September /MOLDPRES/- General Prosecutor's Office took note of decision of the European Court of Human Rights of 14 September 2021 on Petrenco case and others to Moldova and announced that it had waived the charge in the "Petrenco Group" case.
According to the PG press service, in the court hearing scheduled for today, September 17, at 14:00 in the case in which the plaintiffs appear (Grigore Petrenco, Alexandr Rosco, Mihail Amerberg, Pavel Grigorciuc, Andrei Druzi, Oleg Buznea and Vladimir Jurat) , the prosecutor will officially drop the accusations brought against them for committing the crime of organizing and participating in mass riots.
"The General Prosecutor's Office brings official apologies to all persons appearing in this criminal case, who were unjustly accused of committing the alleged crime of mass disorder," the statement issued by the institution reads.
