Russian authorities to open one polling station in Chisinau

Chisinau, 17 September /MOLDPRES/- Only one polling station will be opened in Chisinau for Russia's parliamentary elections.
The Russian Embassy in Moldova announced that, for the participation in the elections of Russian citizens residing in Moldova, a single polling station will be opened in Chisinau, inside the Rossotrudnicestvo representation. This polling station will operate from 8.00 to 20.00.
The authorities of the Russian Federation have communicated that, in order to receive the ballot paper, the citizens of Russia must have on them one of the following identity documents: the foreign or domestic passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation; the passport of the USSR citizen, if it contains the following information: indication of the annex of Russian citizenship (on the inside cover of the passport) or if there is the supplement included in the passport indicating the presence of Russian citizenship or a stamp on registration at the place of residence confirming permanent residence on February 6, 1992; certificate of entry (return) into Russia. According to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Moldova, voters can vote with an expired Russian passport.
Parliamentary elections are taking place on September 17-19 in the Russian Federation. The election of deputies in the State Duma of Russia is conducted according to the mixed system: 225 deputies are elected on party lists, another 225 - in single-member constituencies, in a single round. Deputies from the State Duma have a five-year term.
